4teens, the solution to better regulate the time spent on screen

After a somewhat delayed launch due to the pandemic, 4teens has just unveiled its eponymous solution which allows parents to help their children regulate their screen time. It is thus presented in the form of an agenda and therefore a planning of the time devoted to the screens. Suddenly, this new solution comes at the right time since it follows confinement and we have seen in recent weeks, children and adolescents have spent a lot of time behind the screens. Also, with deconfinement and sunny days, 4teens will allow parents to gradually return to healthy foundations.

Thought and developed by parents, 4teens works with iOS and Android devices but above all, the solution that says it is practical, intelligent and non-intrusive, takes the part to allow children to self-regulate their screen consumption and to take responsibility.

"The excess screen time and the how to use it can create deleterious effects in children and those around them. The objective of 4teens is not to separate children from screens, but from themr allow them to be used wisely and in a reasonable manner. Olivier Troillard and Véronique Longo Guiter, co-founders of 4teens

Simply put, it all starts on the website 4teens.fr , parents and children together define time slots (evening homework, meal time, night, etc.) during which the applications and functions considered to be spam disappear from the screen. Conversely, the applications and functionalities that the child may need during this period remain perfectly accessible. When a time slot is finished, applications temporarily made invisible automatically reappear. And of course, parents can, if they wish, activate an adult content filter.

"We believe that to educate is to trust and empower. Alongsideparents or teachers, our goal is to support the child intelligently and positively in the use of digital technology. Our approach is based on the adoption of simple and innovative solutions that will guarantee reasoned behavior in the future for the young generation. Olivier Troillard and Véronique Longo Guiter, co-founders of 4teens

In the near future, 4teens plans to offer its solution to schools, to become an educational tool. Middle and high schools can, for example, automatically block the operation of smartphones during class hours while allowing teachers who wish to use their students' mobile terminals as digital and educational media.

For the launch, count an annual subscription of 29.90 euros but for the launch, up to as of July 12, the annual subscription will be offered at 20 euros . This is without obligation and there is a free 30-day trial .
