On the night of Tuesday July 21 to Wednesday July 22, 2020, Rabot Dutilleul also had his share of ransomware attack.
A Netwalker virus infected the computer data centers of Tourcoing and Anzin. Several agency servers of the northern construction and real estate development group were also affected by the virus attack. Hackers are currently holding data from the century-old builder hostage.
According to the information received by our colleagues from La Voix du nord , the cybercriminals demand the payment of a ransom of 973 bitcoins, or nearly 8 million euros, in exchange for the file decryption.
Hackers also threaten to publish privately stolen confidential filescompany based in Lille if the ransom is not paid.
Rabot Dutilleul mobilizes resources to solve the problem
The group Rabot Dutilleul obviously did not stand idly by in the face of this malicious act, an act affecting all its sites based in France.
The victim indicates in a press release published on 23 July 2020 that its IT department has taken steps to contain the spread of the ransomware.
The construction giant's technical teams are also working closely with external cybercrime experts to completely resolve the attack. The cooperation aims in particular to measure the impact of the incident on the activity of the company and at the same time to have an overview of the confidential information that the hackers may have shared with third parties.

SellLast Sunday, the northern construction group announced that the cyberattack caused a slowdown in its activity. However, the company wishes to reassure customers that "the technical teams are fully mobilized for a return to normal as quickly as possible.
Rabot Dutilleul has also filed a complaint with the authorities competent authorities of Lille.
