One Piece: the end of the manga in 4 or 5 years

One Piece is considered a monument of Shonen literature. Since the publication of the first boards in 1997, the series has indeed established itself in all markets, and even in ours. In all, over 96 volumes have been released in Japan, but all good things come to an end.

At least that's what we can deduce from the interview given by Eiichiro Oda during an Arashi group variety show.

One Piece is quietly approaching its end

The author has indeed been led to return to his saga and to evoke its end. And if we are to believe his own, comments reported by Hypebeast, then Luffy's adventures should come to an end within four or five years.

One Piece: The End 2024 or 2025

Fans may know this, but this isn't the first time the author has spoken of the end of One Piece. As our colleagues recall in theirarticle, Oda had indeed indicated in 2018 to have completed 80% of the story devoted to Luffy and the whole clique.

Two years later, he seems to see more clear since he now estimates that the last chapter of One Piece will be released in 2024 or 2025.

So of course, until then, a lot can still change, but an edit figure revealed to Hypebeast that the end of the shonen is already known.

If you don't know the story of One Piece, then be aware that this shonen is takes place in a world where the oceans dominate, a world ruled by gangs of pirates. The story begins with the execution of Gol D. Roger, the very last pirate king. As he prepares to take his last breath, he indeed reveals that all the wealth accumulated during his life has been hidden in a secret place.

An end already known ?

A treasure beyond measure… called One Piece.

Twenty years later, most pirates have given up, but Monkey D. Luffy will embark on this quest to become Roger's successor. But before he can complete his project, he will first have to assemble a crew…

It sounds like a classic story of pirates and treasures, but it is not the case. One Piece goes much further by adding a fantastic dimension to its universe.
