Smartphoness Galaxy M were first launched in India, presumably with the aim of offering Samsung smartphones that could rival Xiaomi's Redmi Note in value for money. But then, these devices arrived in Europe.
For example, the Galaxy M31 is already available in France. And if the device has a technical sheet comparable to that of Galaxy A51 , this one is sold at a price less than 289 euros . In addition, the M31 has an important advantage: autonomy . Indeed, this mid-range model is equipped with a huge battery of 6000 mAh. And with the Galaxy M51, Samsung hits even harder. It's been weeks since this new device has been mentioned by the presse. And recently, Samsung finally formalized it via a presentation and pre-orders page on its German site.
A mid-range with an XXL battery
We discover the price there of the smartphone, which is 360 euros in Germany, but also elements of the technical sheet. Unlike the Galaxy M31, the Galaxy M51 does not have a notch, but rather a hole drilled on the screen for the front camera, a design the manufacturer calls Infinity-O.
The The M51's battery is larger since it has a capacity of 7000 mAh. This is twice the capacity of some smartphone batteries. According to Sammobile, this is the largest battery Samsung has placed on a smartphone and it should charge 100% in two hours thanks to the 25W fast-charging technology.
On the coming pageto be released, Samsung mentions an Octa-core processor, but does not specify which model it is. But there would be a good chance that this smartphone would use either the Snapdragon 730 (a processor that is also used by the Pixel 4a) or Qualcomm's Snapdragon 730G. Otherwise, the Galaxy M31 has 6 GB of RAM, accompanied by internal storage (expandable) of 128 GB.
The Galaxy M31 uses a 6.7-inch AMOLED Plus type display and on on the back there is a set of four cameras: a 64-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, a 5-megapixel depth camera, and a 5-megapixel marco.
A new model in the mid-range segment
Other elements of the technical sheet, as well as the price and availability in France (if the device arrives in France) will probably be presented later . But in the meantime, we already have an idea of the characteristics of this new "Samsung monster.
EnAnyway, if you have been impressed with the battery and value for money of the Galaxy M31, you should also be impressed with this model since it is almost an upgraded version. Among the Galaxy M51's competitors in the mid-range segment, there is the OnePlus Nord , the iPhone SE 2020 , the Pixel 4a , as well as the devices Redmi Note from Xiaomi . But this new model also competes with other Samsung smartphones, such as the Galaxy A41, Galaxy A51 or the Galaxy A71 , which are also part of the manufacturer's offer in the mid-range segment.
