It has been 42 years since some of us had the chance to discover "The Empire Against Attack At the movie theater. It was 1980, and at the time it was the second installment of Star Wars, commonly known as Star Wars. Back then, the phenomenon was not as powerful as it is today, but many fans were already starting to get excited about the adventures of Luke, Leia, of the Empire led by Lord Darth Vader, but also for the character of Han Solo played by Harrison Ford.
One of the great moments of the saga is the capture of Han Solo by enemy troops on the planet Bespin. Betrayed by his friend Lando Calrissian, the latter is therefore frozen in carbonite. A highlight of the film and the saga that could not have existed. It is indeedwhat Harrison Ford told us in an interview in December 2015 .

It is therefore forty years later that Harrison Ford gives us a little anecdote very sympathetic about his role as the Galaxy's most famous and beloved smuggler, but also his cryonics in the Empire Strikes Back. It turns out that this event was not originally planned in the plans of George Lucas.
For those who weren't in the know, George Lucas must have made this decision, as he wasn't sure Harrison Ford would sign for Return of the Jedi. was also committed to the Indiana Jones trilogy (which was set to launch a year after the release of The Empire Strikes Back) wanted his character to die to free himself for a bit of time, but mostly because he wanted the fiHan Solo is epic with a great dramatic scene.
But it was not really the vision of George Lucas who did not wish to kill one of the most beloved characters in the saga. So, not sure whether to convince Harrison Ford to sign for a third film, Lucas changed his sound to cryogenize Han Solo in order to be able to bring him back in Return of the Jedi ... or not.
The rest, you know it, Han Solo will be back in the sixth installment of Star Wars and will even be one of the main players in the victory against the Empire. Fans will even have the pleasure of seeing him again in 2015 in Star Wars VII - The Force Awakens.
